Levinia Heks was created by Verna Vels in the late 1970s, and stole the hearts of South Africans through a series of books and TV episodes.

In the early 2000s, with the encouragement of Dumi Gumbi, she began working on a screenplay for the big screen. Together with Allan Cameron and the team at Luma, it quickly developed into a project she could be proud of.

For any other project it would be unrealistic to achieve this goal through public support – but we believe R100 for Heksie is within reach of every South African to help her get back on her broom.

Today, you can’t find world‑class entertainment like this anywhere. And, what’s more, it’s not a gamble. We plan to reach our first milestone of R20 million before we start using your R100 for production. If we don’t reach that within 60 days, you get your money back – hand on heart!
